Tiffany Favrile Glass <br> Cypriote Vase 1

American, circa 1914-15

An original Tiffany Studios Favrile Glass 'Cypriote' Vase of irregular form, the body decorated with irregular pitting, bubbling surface texture with iridescent accents, signed on the underside.

This Tiffany Favrile Glass vase was originally owned by Joseph Heil, who donated it to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. The vase was exhibited in one of the first major museum exhibitions on Louis Comfort Tiffany at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts (now the Museum of Art and Design) in 1958. The vase was deaccessioned by MoMA in 2003.
