An iconic example of Tiffany's Favrile Glass, this gold iridescent "Jack in the Pulpit" Vase, dating from 1904-06, stands at a monumental 20 inches in height. In addition to its grand scale, the piece is notable for the dramatically ruffled circular "face" of the vase, whose brilliant iridescence is unusually saturated in color, featuring rich tones of magenta, orange, and green. Rising from a defined pillow-like rounded foot, the hollow cylindrical stem of the vase is slightly ribbed and is noticeably more transparent than the face.
