An extremely rare early hanging light fixture by Tiffany Glass & Decorating Company, the predecessor to Tiffany Studios, dating from the late 19th century.

This unique light fixture comprises an opalescent blown glass shade in a milky white hue which is suspended from a “crown” of openwork twisted silvered bronze chains with inset pressed square Tiffany Favrile Glass tiles. A series of pendants of alternating length comprising twisted silver wire and scrolling chains, each with inset alternating round and oval Favrile Glass tiles, are suspended from the crown, surrounding the blown glass shade.
