A rare version of the "Balance Weight" Desk Lamp produced by Tiffany Studios in the early 20th century, comprising an 8-inch diameter blown Tiffany Favrile Glass Shade, the slightly ribbed surface of the rich amber glass with allover iridescent "wave" decoration, resting on an unusual and elaborate "Balance Weight" Desk Base, the "weight" in the form of a stylized tomato, decorated with stylized leaves on the foot, in a fine rich brown-green patina. Both the shade and the base of this original Tiffany lamp are signed.
