Poppy Table Lamp

Diameter: 20 inches

The brass filigree used to articulate the veins of the leaves along the lower edge of the shade is placed behind mottled green glass, mimicking the transparency of a delicate leaf, while the flower's center is formed by a piece of filigree placed on the surface of the glass, where the gilt metal catches the light. The shade is paired with the "Twisted Vine" base, an elegant naturalistic base in the Art Nouveau taste, in matching gilt patina; when the lamp was originally purchased at Tiffany Studios, this finish would have added an additional 25% to the cost of the lamp. Both the shade and the base of this original Tiffany lamp are signed.
